In October, Kadima’niks were invited to go apple picking with the chapter. We came back to TBE to make candy apples and get ready for Simhat Torah. Later in the month, our middle school’ers were invited to a regional program. USY and Kadima’niks from all across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut got together at The Sports Center for bowling, laser tag, and tons of other activities!

This summer, the USY Youth Board at Temple Beth El has been working hard to discuss, plan, and coordinate many exciting programs for the year. The teen leaders are looking forward to helping lead a special series of programs for children youth at synagogue during the High Holy Days. The teens also look forward to enjoying their new youth lounge in the synagogue basement, which has been renovated and refurbished for the new school year! We are looking forward to a wonderful year with USY!

Happy New Year Temple Beth El Families!

I am delighted to [re]introduce myself to many of you and get to know more of you over the upcoming year. It has been a few years since I last worked with the TBE youth and I have truly missed it. We have a wonderful calendar of Kadima events plotted for the year, starting with an eight grade Meet and Greet at the end of August. In September, we are looking forward to a kick-off Slip and Slide party for everyone (5th through 8th graders).

Kadima is such an important, formative experience for young Conservative Jews. I hope to be able to help all of our Beth El Kadima’niks learn and grow this year.

The past few weeks have featured several exciting events for Temple Beth El’s youth. Kadima members visited Nomad’s Adventure Quest for a great afternoon of exploration. During the following week, teens in B’Yahad and USY prepared for and attended the Teen Shabbat Service and Dinner. Teens and their families enjoyed a beautiful service and a delicious meal, prepared in part by our enthusiastic youth members.
