Rabbinic Student to Speak at Torah Fund Luncheon


--May 17 at noon.  Everyone is welcome to join us at our Sisterhood's annual Torah Fund Luncheon.  The guest speaker will be Warner Ferratier, a third-year rabbinic student at Warner Ferratierthe Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City.  He will discuss "Preparing Future Conservative Rabbis to Guide Their Congregations During These Tumultuous Times."

The cost to attend the event is a minimum of $36, which includes an $18 donation to the Torah Fund.  Additional donations are greatly appreciated.  The Torah Fund supports the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles, and the Seminario Rabinico Latinamericano in Buenos Aires.  At the luncheon, artist-designated pins will be presented to Benefactors, which includes women who donate a minimum of $180 (plus $18 for the lunch).  "P'ri Yadehah, the fruit of her hands" is the theme of this year's Torah Fund pin, celebrating the 75th year of the Torah Fund campaign.
